How to Contact Your Senators and Representative

There are a number of ways to find out the names of your United States Senators and your Representative.

If you do not have access to a computer, an easy way is to call your local library's reference desk or your local Board of Elections. These sources should have phone numbers and addresses. In addition, the Blue Pages of your phone book are the Government pages and the information such as phone numbers should be in there.

The Internet has made it easy to find out who your members of Congress are and how to contact them through email. For those without Internet access, you can mail or fax your letters.

By using the Internet for your House member, go here:

House of Representatives Locator

At the top of the page, there is a Find your Representative, where you have to put in your zip code. Now, in some cases, because Congressional districts overlap with zip codes you might need to put in the plus 4 additional digits of your zip code. If you do not have those, there are simple prompts that get you this information. Just plug all the numbers back at the https://www.house.gov/   and the information on your member will come up. Link on your members name and that takes you to his or her website. All websites clearly mark a How to Contact Me. From there you can email, fax or US mail your letters.

To find the Contact information for your two Senators go here, and follow the same directions for the House of Representatives.
